This Detail was something I made as a panel following the installation of the main window. I was invited by Bullseye Glass to go to Northlands Studio and experiment with Bullseye Glass. I met Michael Bullen who was leading the studio and he taught me casting. Therefore I made a few versions of this beautiful image.
This one is a positive glass relief, meaning that the form is raised from the background.
Cost 2500Euros plus shipping and any taxes.
Made from one piece of Lambert;s glass.
A favourite glass that I have used since I first saw it in 1996.
This image was created by multi layered etching, glass painting and silverstaining.
The title was a comment from a friend of mine, now deceased. I found it appropriate. The original concept was developed for a marquetry project made in Sorrento and sent to Japan.
Cost 2500 Euros plus taxes and shipping
